  1. Good work on this publication. Good amount of information and it is educational. I am curious regarding the Bencomo surname in the Apache Nation. My son-in-law is Apache from the New Mexico area with that surname. Do you have anything in your archive regarding that name? He does pow wow dancing since childhood taught to him by his mother in full regalia. As an adult is teaching his son, my grandson the dances and participates publicly as a dancer in the Native American dance group Northern Winds in Pueblo, Colorado. His father is Lupe Bencomo and Lupe says he is from Mexico but has ancestors in New Mexico. He says he is Native Apache with ancestors in New Mexico. Thank you. Larry W. Salas
